When a potential customer contacts us regarding a construction project, one of the first things we do is have one of our representatives sit down with them and put ideas on paper. We do this to help the customer visualize the finished product and the space they desire. At Shells Only Home Improvements we use the most sophisticated estimating system in the industry, developed by us over decades, to provide our customers with an accurate and comprehensive price quote, which translates into no hidden costs or surprises. Our friendly design professionals and estimators are the best in the business and will help you with material choices, timelines and budget concerns.
Once our design professionals have done the preliminary work, our drafting department generates AutoCAD drawings for your final approval. We have a plan review in our showroom where we go over your plans and selections with you in great detail and offer our advice. We have remodeled over 10,000 homes; our cumulative experience exceeds that of even the largest design firms. Upon your approval our expediters do all the paperwork that other construction companies leave to you, they file plans and do the necessary legwork to make sure your construction job is in compliance with your local municipality and spare you the trouble of dealing with the Building Department.
Our production department takes over once your permits are secured. Production managers order the materials needed for your project and schedule the trades to maintain a smooth workflow. They contact you on a daily basis so you know what to expect and when to expect it. Shells Only’s projects run faster and more efficiently. Smaller companies are unable to provide our level of productivity.
Once construction begins, a field supervisor is assigned to your job from start to finish making sure work is proceeding on schedule and that it is up to our high standards. He notes any potential construction issues at that time. At the end of each day, our crews do a clean sweep of the site, debris goes in the dumpster and the job site is secure.
During the entire length of the job, Shells Only Home Improvement’s production team holds twice weekly meetings where everything pertaining to your project is discussed in depth. They examine potential challenges brought up by your field supervisor or customer service representative to resolve them to your satisfaction. Our system allows us to hit potential problems head on and our goal is always: “how can build it better?”
Once the shell is up and your house is weatherproof, our interior tradesmen go to work, finishing the job with wiring, plumbing, insulation, sheetrock, flooring, tile work and everything else required in order to bring a customer’s dreams to fruition.
