While this was not our first construction experience, it was out first experience with Shells Only Home Improvements.

Angelo makes the planning process easy. He was patient with all of our questions and took the time to assist us with new design ideas. It is evident that he is a talented designer.

The crews were knowledgeable and courteous. True artisans! They worked efficiently and cleanly, which made the process less burdensome for our home and our pets.

Fred was always a pleasure to speak with and responded to our inquiries and concerns with thoughtfulness.

Our neighbors have showered us with compliments.

Today, as we signed off on the last of the work, I have to take the time to write you a note to express our happiness and satisfaction. From start to finish, your work has been professional, courteous, and timely. We are so pleased to see that our vision has exceeded our expectations. So often, one has design in mind, only to find that at completion, something has been omitted or that something could have been done differently. Thanks to your expertise, we are delighted with our outcome. We now live in the nicest Levitt ranch in town.

In particular, we would like to commend Ken, for his ideas, Gene, our supervisor, for his cooperation and input, as well as Julie and Jill for their prompt and courteous attention to detail and scheduling.

Mostly we want to commend Frank. He is a unique individual. His skill is outstanding, both in his work and in his management of personnel and customer service. The archway he created for our front foyer is the showpiece of the house, and our walk in bedroom closet is a highlight. His attentiveness to the final "punch list" was detailed and professional. We will miss him.

In all, we'd like to say that, at any time, we would be happy to recommend Shells Only Home Improvements to other prospective customers. We invite you to please come and take photos for other Levitt home re-modelers. We really feel we have a one-of-a-kind brand new home that shows what every Levitt can be.

I want to compliment you on two key members of your staff.

First, we want to point out the work Al in sales performed for us. I have never been so impressed by someone, especially after getting estimates from several of your "so called" competitors. Al was on time, which is sad for me to say that no one else was. He was sharp and attentive, walked through our house and pointed out some key issues we should address, and even drew a preliminary sketch of our front porch. It was as if he could see it built and he had only been at the house for 15 minutes. It is so true when they say that price isn't everything. especially when you have someone as dedicated as Al was to our needs and concerns.

The next member of your staff we want to compliment is Ryan, the job supervisor. He maintained a neat, clean jobsite and was very cognizant of the fact that our daughter has asthma and was very sensitive to dust and the debris that was being stirred up. We felt very confident knowing that his crew was on the site everyday.

Please pass along a word of thanks to your staff for the beautiful job they performed. And Dennis, take it from me, with guys like Al and Ryan on your team, your competition will remain "so called". They don't even stand a chance.

Dear Al,

Please accept my thanks and gratitude for taking the time to meet with my wife Helen at your office so she could go over the tile patterns we selected. As someone who is in the construction field, I have never had an experience where a customer is treated as if they are your only customer, and many times we are too busy to even appreciate the customer. With Shells Only Home Improvements, that is not the case. I know your company name and the work you guys have been performing for over 30 years, and I also know we ARE NOT your only customer. When Helen called me later that afternoon and told me about how you had all the samples already laid out for her, we were both more than impressed with the attention she received, and the time you spent with her.

Thanks again Al, we really appreciate all you have done for us, and the job is coming out great. And thanks again for drawing a picture for our son of how his tree house should be built. It was like we got two free estimates from you guys! Stop by when you get a chance, he is dying to show you how it came out.

Thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to meet with me. I really do appreciate you having an open mind when I requested we meet at 10 pm for my estimate. I know that is not a common occurrence for you, but you understood the nature of my job as a Commercial Airline Pilot and the time constraints I was under for this project. Too often in life people seem to take the time to complain but rarely do you hear about the good things that a company has done. I would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU for a wonderful experience with Shells Only Home Improvements.

From the moment your salesperson, Angelo, sat down with us right down to the final clean up crew your staff was nothing but courteous, professional and a please to deal with. I would like to say thank you to Rhonda for taking care of all the horrendous paperwork that the Town of Brookhaven required over and over again, Eddie, for sitting in the building department waiting area for hours and days until they were satisfied and Frank & Matt for doing a wonderful framing job. Especially Frank, who was injured on a different job and still showed up for work (with his hand stitched and bandaged up) the very next day! We would also like to thank Gene, for making sure everything went smoothly and Tina for calling everyday to make sure we were happy.

Our work is complete and gorgeous. We get all kinds of compliments from our neighbors and many people have inquired who did the work and we are happy to say that it was Shells Only Home Improvements. We just wanted to let you know that we were so impressed with you and your crews. We cant thank you enough for taking time to do a great job. Your efforts to make sure that your did the work planned did not go un-noticed. We appreciate that you took the time to always look over the entire job and if needed you made sure that whatever needed to be adjusted or done over was taken care of.

Most people only remember the workers at the end-because their jobs make everything look pretty! We want you to know that we will also appreciate the end result but we will also remember how hard you and your team worked to make our house look!!! It amazing!!! The best on the block. We are especially grateful for surprising us with the portico, taking the time to scale the picture that I had, to make it look just like we wanted was thoughtful. It really came out perfect and we can't thank you enough that and all of the great work did.

Thanks to you and your staff for making our project a great success. From beginning, we knew this would be a big undertaking but we had the confidence that you and your company were the ones to get the job done.

Thanks to a great designer (Ron), our house has the rooms, views and space we so desired. Our appreciation to Gene is immeasurable. His thoughtfulness and understanding throughout the project was a great sense of comfort. His efforts and insight as to how we wanted things done was impressive. I am writing this letter to you to express my thanks and to compliment you and your staff on a job well done. Now that our 2nd floor is on, it seems like our old cramped house has taken on a new life. When we started the construction process, my wife and I were very confused. All the "do this" and "don't do that" people were telling us was enough to make us stop before we started. That was until we called your company and Frank was sent to our house for a free estimate.

He sat down with us and right away we could tell we were going to "survive" this project. He was well informed, and focused on our needs and concerns, not just a number. He helped us draw up a floor plan since the one we had originally was simply not working. He even took us into our existing rooms and had us picture where we could move walls, add walls, add doors and windows. Out of several other estimates we received, Frank was the only one that took out a tape measure and actually measured the rooms and key dimensions. He is someone that you can take pride in since he is an excellent representative of how your firm does business.

It did not stop there (we were happy to find out) since once our job was started, the professionalism continued. Our job Supervisor Ryan helped us and kept us calm as walls, wires, pipes and sheetrock were put in place. He was always ready to answer our questions, and even stayed well after hours on a few occasions to discuss the next few days project plan. The attention that we received from these gentlemen, and the rest of your staff, made all the difference in our experience.

A few weeks ago i had one of your salesman Alfred at my house and would just like to thank you for a few things. First it started with my husband and myself calling into your office for an esitmate. We gave our information to one of your secreatarys and within a week Alfred had called us back to set up an appointment. When he arrived he was very much on time, we let him in and we began. We had a few ideas that we threw at him and he helped us get focused and thinking on a path. He left that evening, called us back about 3 days later and came over again to give us our estimate. When he came back he had different floor plans and pictures that we really appreciated all the thought and effort he put into the estimate even before we signed a contract.

To sum up we would just like to thank you and your staff from the first time we called to the signing of our contract. Alfred was very honest and up front with everthing whereas the other 3 contractors we met with kind of bent the truth a little bit. We apprecitate all that you did up to this point and are very anxious to start our job. Again thanks for all that you have done for us, we are very happy that we picked Shells Only Home Improvements.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our thoughts and thanks to you and your staff.

Ken was our sales representative. He was also part of the reason that we chose Shells Only. Ken spent endless amount of days and hours at our house developing and re-developing plans. He was always available when we needed him. He was a pleasure to work with.

Our supervisor Denny was absolutely wonderful. From day one, Denny was at the job site almost daily (sometime 2 or 3 times a day) to oversee that our job was done in a proper timely manner. Through all our concerns, he was right there with is to work through them, even if it was 9:00 p.m. We couldn't have asked for a better Supervisor.

Your office staff is amazing. Through our daily phone calls with questions and concerns, they always had an answer or would get an answer almost immediately. They were nothing but helpful, organized and reassuring. Their organization and daily communication with is made it easy for us to organize our schedules around work, which certainly made our lives run smoothly.

Every one of the crews, from the framers, to the plumbers, to the electricians, etc., worked on our house as I it were their own and it really shows. They were hardworking and exceptionally detailed. Their end-of-day clean up was exceptional. We were amazed to come home and see how clean it was. But most of all, every one of them was respectful, polite, and a pleasure to have on our home. That made all the difference throughout the project.

Again, we cannot thank all of them enough for all their hard work that had made our home to what it is today. We will be sending many wonderful years in it and we absolutely love it!

On May 25, 2007 my husband, Scott, and I met with Fred to sign off on the fulfillment of our contract and the Completion of Work certificate. We would like to extend our thanks to all the Shells Only Home Improvements staff that we dealt with for the renovations of our home in Bellmore. The professionalism, attentiveness, and accessibility of all involved were greatly appreciated.

The salesperson, Ron, was patient and informative and in no way was high pressure, which is a definite asset in my book. Having been a salesperson, I found that high-pressure tactics are a turn off, but being honest with the customer is the best way to make a sale. Ron made me feel comfortable and confident that you were dealing with a reputable company.

Julie was efficient and attentive. She would inform us of the scheduling for each phase of the job, allowing plenty of time for us to plan our payment and to make arrangements to wither be present at the home when needed, or to have one of our neighbors be around to let the workers in. When I had questions and needed to get in touch with Julie, she was always accessible and pleasant.

Fred was personable and a pleasure to do business with. He, too, was always accessible and willing to resolve any of our concerns. We had a couple of issues with the job: 1) The electric meter was being replaced and the electrician moved it from the side of the house to the front if the house. No other home in the immediate area of ours has an electric meter in the front. I spoke to Fred about this situation and he assured me that it would be taken care of properly. Within a couple days, the electrician came back and moved the meter to the original spot on the side of the house where it should have stayed to begin with! 2) The masons had to come back and resurface our foundation for a second time. It appeared that the cement wasn't adhering to the original foundation. Fred was contacted and he took care of the issue. Fred was great-down to earth and seemed to be able to relate to any concern we had.

I'd also like to comment on the great job that was done on our garage. We had some structural damage due to water seepage. The garage had to be raised up and it looks great! Also, all our interior oak flooring was sanded and coated and it looks fantastic!!

The renovation of our home was extremely stressful for me because we weren't around for most of the work, since we currently live in Virginia. My threes sons would call me with their concerns which also added to my stress. All this aside, we are extremely pleased with the outcome. I can't believe it's our house!! It looks fantastic and all the neighbors have commented on how nice it looks.

Dennis, you should be very proud of the staff you have working for you. We'll definitely consider using Shells Only Home Improvements again in any future renovations we'd like to make-bathrooms, kitchen. Please pass out comments on to the folk's involved in our project and thanks so much for a job well done! We greatly appreciate it!
