I was pretty excited when I COD BO6 Gift CP saw the announcement that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players can grab 2 free operator skins. Who doesn’t love free cosmetics, right? But, as expected, there's a catch—players must complete a specific in-game challenge to unlock them. It's not just a matter of logging in and claiming them, which I think is a bit of a letdown for some.
The skins are available for a limited time and can be unlocked after completing objectives like getting a certain number of kills or winning a set number of matches in specific game modes. While these are relatively simple tasks for dedicated players, it’s still annoying for casual gamers who don’t have that much time to grind. I’m all for earning rewards through gameplay, but this feels like a way to make us grind more, especially with the game's already hefty unlockable content.
What do you all think? Do you enjoy the grind for these kinds of free skins, or would you rather just have them handed to you for showing up? Personally, I’d prefer if they were just buy COD BO6 CP available to all players without any conditions. But maybe that’s just me!
